Belleville's historic, bustling, Victorian city centre offers a nostalgic shopping experience including boutiques for you to discover. Bargain buffs, take notice. Belleville has several factory outlets that are worth investigating.

The City of Belleville is the largest service centre in the Bay of Quinte Tourist Region and, as such, offers excellent shopping facilities. The Quinte Mall is located adjacent to Highway 401 at the Highway 62 interchange in the north end of the city. The Bayview Mall at the east end, and plazas throughout the city, mean that you're never far from convenient shopping hours, quality national retailers and selections of merchandise sure to please.

Belleville is proud of its downtown with its tree-lined shopping area. Downtown offers convenient benches, ample parking, over 250 stores, restaurants and services for pleasant and leisurely shopping. Watch for the sidewalk sale in July.

Bargain buffs, take notice. Belleville has several factory outlets that are worth investigating. For example, the local dairy will appeal to ice cream and dairy product devotees. The local chocolate factory just off Sidney Street is a chocolate lover's heaven.

Downtown Belleville

"The Village" in the heart of Downtown Belleville hosts 250 shops and services along picturesque Front and Pinnacle Street. Old brick buildings, as well as period and modern architecture offer the ideal location for any business, abutting a busy commercial thoroughfare. The Moira River winds its way through the downtown, adjacent to this main strip, with the Riverfront Trail running the full length of the City. Farmer's Market

On Market Day, the Farmer's Market bustles with activity from the first early crops of spring to the bountiful harvest of autumn. Anywhere from 50-75 vendors display their fresh produce, maple syrup, eggs and flowers to eager customers. Shopping at the Market is a time-honoured activity for many Bellevillians and it offers the visitor a chance to buy quality fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices. The Market is located behind City Hall on Pinnacle Street and takes place every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Bell Boulevard

Strategically located just off Highway 401, this commercial district is characterized by a large regional shopping centre, the Quinte Mall, and several big-box retailers, mini plazas, department stores, automotive service centres, and supermarkets. Considerable development potential remains in this growing commercial district.

Dundas Street East

This area is characterized by its medical and health services, Belleville General Hospital, a commercial plaza, grocery stores, and other services established to meet the demands of this growing community. Located on Belleville's Bayshore, it is sure to be favoured for future development.
