Conveniently located off the 401 Belleville boasts many amenities to the Bay of Quinte traveller with a fine assortment of shops, restaurants and accommodations. The city is a jumping off point for day trips to Prince Edward County, Sandbanks Provincial Park, and points north such as Stirling, Madoc and Tweed. What's to Do and Where to Visit!

Belleville offers visitors a wide variety of activities and destinations. We are the largest City in the region with numerous options for accommodations and restaurants.

Belleville features some of the best Golf in Ontario with 19 courses in the area and several right in the City. Belleville's waterfront is very active, the annual May fishing weekend brings some of the finest anglers in North America to our shores and the facilites for sailboats and pleasure craft are tremendous. Our Waterfront Festival in July is another annual celebration that brings world class food and entertainment to our area.

If you enjoy history, the downtown core has several impressive buildings including the majestic City Hall and Glanmore National Historic site is a unique opportunity to step back into victorian times. The impressive RCAF Museum is just 15 minutes away in Quinte West and the 1864 Jail in Napanee is also available.

The region also features live theatre at the Belleville Theatre Guild, The Regent Theatre in Picton and the nearby Stirling Festival Theatre. Belleville's Empire Theatre offers live music, theatre and stage productions regularly featuring world class artists. Westben in Campbellford and the Quinte Symphony offer the perfect solution for those who enjoy classical music.

For motorcycle and drag racing fans, Shannonville Motorsport Park is just a few minutes away and Quinte Exhibition Raceway in Belleville holds live horse racing every Friday during the season.

If you enjoy hiking or biking, the Quinte region offers several excellent trails. Most are located in one of the numerous conservation areas ready for you to explore including Sidney, Quinte, Macaulay Mountain and Presqu'ile. Belleville's paved waterfront trail is ideal for rollerblading or parents with strollers.

Our Tourist Centre

The Log Cabin is the home of the Belleville and Belleville and District Chamber of Commerce. The staff is there to help you with your tourism information needs such as brochures, maps and other information concerning the places to see and stay and events in the Quinte area. The Log Cabin overlooks the Moira River at the corner of Hwy 62 (Pinnacle St.) and East Moira St. It is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and on weekends in July and August.
