A&E Tile & Stone hosted a Vendor Day celebration to commemorate its 40th anniversary in business on Thursday, May 28. City of Belleville Mayor, Neil Ellis presented a certificate of recognition and the Belleville Chamber congratulated the Leonarduzzi family on this remarkable milestone. A&E Tile & Stone has been a valued member of the Belleville Chamber for over 30 years.
What started in a basement with a father, son, and a shared passion for tile has grown over four decades into one of the most respected tile and stone showrooms in Eastern Ontario. This year, A&E Tile & Stone marks 40 years in business, a milestone the Leonarduzzi family is celebrating with the same warmth and community spirit that has defined them from the start.
A&E was founded in February 1986 by Armando and Elvis Leonarduzzi after a layoff from Spada Tile. A&E began with commercial installations before recognizing an unmet need for quality residential tile products in the Belleville market. After three years operating out of a basement, the business opened its first retail storefront on Wallbridge Crescent. In 1994, when Elvis’s wife Tina left her job at the bank to join the team, A&E moved to its current home at 101 College St. W. Since then, it has served customers from Kingston to Whitby, Cobourg to Bancroft, and everywhere in between.
Now heading into its third generation of family involvement, A&E is not just known for its curated selection of premium tile and stone, but for the craftsmanship it brings to every installation. Elvis treats tiling as an art form, training his team of 10 employees over three to four years before they work independently, a commitment to quality that is rare in the industry and deeply felt by customers.
