MEGA MINGLE with the Belleville Sens

Belleville, April 2026

Some events bring people together, and some take things to the next level. Our April BCC Mega Mingle with our neighbouring Chambers with the Belleville Senators did exactly that.

With over 200 registered attendees from across the region, including 92 from the Belleville Chamber of Commerce, this collaborative evening was a true celebration of regional connection.

A Night Beyond the Boards

This wasn’t a typical mingle! Attendees had the rare opportunity to go behind the scenes of the CAA arena, exploring spaces usually reserved for players and staff, including the locker rooms, equipment repair areas, medical facilities, gym, hall of fame, lounge spaces, and premium seating areas like VIP sections and box suites.

A huge thank you to the Senators’ off-ice team led by John Mathers, Vice President of Business Operations, along with Corey McNeil, Jeremy Coulter, Ben Cochrane, Alex Pickford, and Alex Siragusa, for opening their doors and offering such an unforgettable experience.

Better Together

This Mega Mingle was made even more special through partnership with the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce and the Prince Edward County Chamber of Commerce. Bringing together three Chambers created dynamic energy comprised from across the region, serving as a reminder of the strength and opportunity that comes from regional collaboration.

Our Belleville Chamber of Commerce was pleased to welcome His Worship Mayor Neil Ellis and Councillor Margaret Seu, along with members of our BCC Board.

New to You Members

A highlight of every mingle is recognizing the faces who are new (or new again!) to our community.

  • Austin Nicholson, and Michelle Urch, of Make Space Storage.
  • Julie, Eli, and Jordon Richter, of Richter’s Market Co.

First-Time Attendees:
Jaxson Ruttan (Dog Lovers Playground), Aaron Fagan (First Contact Sales), Tom McParland (Just Bee Cuz Honey Farm), Elizabeth Quinn (Livita Bridge St. Retirement Residence), Steve Phillips (Mikhaiel Logistics), Brianne Dion (Ontario Insurance Network), Michael Curran (Scotiabank), Tammy Lambert (St. Louis Bar & Grill), Brent Parsons (The Local Social House), Don Cruikshank & Brett Keene (The Richmond Retirement Residence), Laurie Anne Brennan (Waring House)

We also welcomed several “members in training;” those interested in joining as a member of the BCC and getting a first look at why being a member of the Belleville Chamber of Commerce is so important!

Congratulations to Our Door Prize Winners!

Six lucky attendees went home with some fantastic prizes, including:

  • Restaurant gift certificates.
  • A jar of local honey from Just Bee Cuz Honey Farm.
  • A signed Belleville Sens hockey stick.
  • A signed Belleville Sens hockey puck.
  • A four-pack of Belleville Sens game tickets.

A Special Thank You

To the Belleville Senators: thank you for delivering an experience that went far beyond networking! From the behind-the-scenes access to the warm hospitality, this was a night our members won’t soon forget.

And to our partners in Quinte West and Prince Edward County: thank you for helping make this a truly regional MEGA MINGLE experience!

If you missed it, don’t worry — more opportunities to connect are just around the corner. Be sure to check out our upcoming events, including our AGM on April 30 and President’s Dinner & Cornerstone Awards on May 8!

Thank you to BCC Member Kim McKinney, and to the Quinte West Chamber, for sharing some of your photos with us!
